Hi, I’m Dr. Wendy Rosensweig, MD, also known as Dr. Rose. I’m a board-certified Family Medicine and Obesity Medicine physician with a passion for helping patients make meaningful, sustainable changes in their health. In addition to family and urgent care medicine, I have a special interest in menopause care and am currently working toward becoming a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner.
Staying active and spending time outdoors are a big part of my life. I’m a runner and have completed 11 marathons, and I celebrated my 50th birthday by competing in a bodybuilding competition. I also love mountaineering and recently climbed a 17,000-foot mountain in the Andes. Each activity teaches me something different: running teaches endurance, lifting builds strength, and mountaineering cultivates perspective. When I’m closer to home, you’ll often find me hiking with my 100-pound golden retriever. We’re outside together almost every day!
Obesity Medicine: Helping patients understand and manage obesity through individualized, evidence-based care focused on improving overall health and quality of life.
Menopause Care: Supporting women through the physical and hormonal changes of menopause with thoughtful, personalized care.
Family Medicine: Providing comprehensive healthcare with an emphasis on prevention, education, and long-term wellness.
Urgent Care Medicine: Evaluating and treating a wide range of immediate illnesses and health concerns with timely, attentive care.
I firmly believe that knowledge exists to serve others. In medicine, excellence isn’t simply about accumulating knowledge. It’s about applying that knowledge in a way that respects each person’s humanity. I want my patients to leave my office with a clear plan, a renewed sense of agency, and optimism about their health. When I can help someone see that they are capable of making meaningful changes to improve their life, I feel I’ve accomplished something beyond simply delivering quality care.
Invest in your future self every day. Small changes in your habits can make a tremendous difference when practiced consistently. Strive to become the healthiest version of yourself, both physically and mentally, so you can also be at your best for the people around you.
I would choose Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz. Her relentless pursuit of knowledge in a world that discouraged women from intellectual life is incredibly inspiring. She was a poet, philosopher, scientist, musician, theologian, and fierce advocate for women’s education in colonial Mexico. Her life represents lifelong learning, intellectual courage, and humility, and I would love the opportunity to hear her perspective firsthand.
